Mental Health & Wellbeing

The wellbeing of all our children, families, and staff is paramount. We understand that many of our school community may experience ill mental health and will need help and support at some point in their lives.

We aim to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for our whole school community and recognise how important mental health and emotional wellbeing is to our lives in just the same way as physical health.

We are proud to say that we have three Mental Health First Aiders trained on school site. All Mental Health First Aiders are a point of contact for any children or adults in school who are experiencing any mental health issues or have any worries or concerns in school. They have the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues, offer first aid and guide them towards the support that they need.

The Mental Health First Aiders in school are: Mrs Young, Mr Andrews, and Mrs Freeman.

If you need someone to talk to then our doors are always open and we will listen, not judge and help where we can. You are welcome to speak to any member of staff you feel comfortable with.

The following resources are a selection of advice and links to national and local support.
